Welcome to the KC and the Sunshine Band Review section of Becky's Island! I will include reviews of:

• Every complete album released by KC and the Sunshine Band between 1974 and 1979, regardless of CD availability;
• Every KC and the Sunshine Band studio album of new material released after 1980;
• Selected United States and international KC and the Sunshine Band greatest hits CDs; and
• Selected recordings, including compilation CDs, by artists related to KC and the Sunshine Band, such as Jimmy "Bo" Horne and George McCrae.
  

Each review includes a listing of famous tracks on that CD; information about CD availability; the Becky Rating (see below); and my write-up about the album and the music.

A few points to keep in mind before reading the reviews:

*I am a fan of KC and the Sunshine Band, so don't accuse me of not being a fan or of not liking the band if I criticize something. As it turns out, there's very little to criticize; sometimes, though, I have to be honest with myself and say what I truly think.

*The albums are rated on a scale of 1 to 10 suns, with 10 suns being the highest. Specialty albums are not rated, nor are greatest hits packages that merely repeat the track listings from other cds.

*All album chart positions refer to the United States' Billboard Magazine Top 200 unless noted. All singles chart positions refer to the United States' Billboard Magazine Hot 100 (the "pop charts") unless noted.

*This is my website, and these are my opinions. I'm sure there will be SOMETHING here you disagree with. I'm expecting that. I hope there will also be something here you will agree with. You're welcome to email me if you want to discuss anything.
